Another beautiful day on the prairie.  Mid 60’s with bright blue skies and lots of sunshine.  Hard to think there may be snow on the prairie by morning.  I like today’s weather better than the cold that is headed my way.

Cleaned the main part of the house this morning.  I hadn’t done that for a bit and it feels good to have it cleaned again.  Still working on washing linens and cleaning the guest bedrooms.  Have three done and only one more to go.  May finish yet tonight with the last room.  Always feels good to have a completely clean house.

Still need to do my bedroom and laundry room and then the upstairs will be done.  Have the great room and the coffee-room to do downstairs.  May get both done today.  I still have Sunday and Monday free to get to them too.

I went into Emporia a little after noon and was able to get in and out of Walmart without much hassle.  It was busy but not crazy busy.  Got what I needed and got out of there.

Went into Cottonwood Falls to check out Country Christmas this afternoon.  Ran into a couple of friends when I was out and about.  I love small town living for that reason.  I plan on going back in to watch the parade tonight unless it gets too cold.

Kathy called me this afternoon and we had a nice phone visit.  Was good to get caught up with her and share our lives again.  I miss having her around to talk to.

Monday I will need to do my laundry so I can get packed for the retreat.  I am leaving early Wednesday morning.  So looking forward to this adventure.

Back to being in my peaceful valley.  I sure miss it when I leave it.  I know it is always there waiting for me to return.  Life is easy in the valley.  Someday I am going to figure out how to stay here.

Thinking my jet lag is finally over.  I have had good energy all day again today and have been able to eat on schedule.  The fog is gone and I can remember what I got up to go do.  Couldn’t manage that task earlier this week!

Grateful for another beautiful day on the prairie, grateful for a clean house, and grateful for my peaceful valley.
