It was a peaceful day at Jacob Buck Pond. This morning we went to visit a friend across the pond. She is a delightful lady and we had an interesting conversation with her.
We had lunch when we got home and then took naps. After our naps we went kayaking. I am a big fan of kayaking now. I figured out out to steer it and make it go sliding through the water. The water was smooth as a mirror and reflecting the trees and clouds.
I fixed us dinner afterwards and we will spend the rest of the evening relaxing. I made two more dish rags today.
I have slept more here than I have for a long time. My soul must have needed this retreat space. Life is simple here. This is a beautiful healing space.
We had some showers earlier today but the afternoon was lovely. When the sun comes out it warms up quickly. More showers are forecast for tomorrow but trusting there will be a break between storms so I can get back out on the kayak one last time before my journey home that starts Monday.
Will take the bus to Portland Monday morning and spend the afternoon on the beach. My flight out if Portland is at 7:05 and I should be back in Manhattan by 1:30 if all goes as planned.
Missing the open prairie and the sunrises and sunsets. It will be good to be home. The time here has gone quickly though. The rest has been good for my soul.
Grateful for another adventure in the kayak, grateful for all the sleep I have been getting and grateful for the beauty of Nature.
