I had a rough night last night. Woke up in the middle of the night crying. Not sure if it was from a dream or what. I had been close to tears for several days. I allowed myself to cry it out. Felt much better this morning.
Went to KC today to help Nicole pick out a wedding dress. She is going to make a beautiful bride. She had invited her mother-in-law-to-be to come join us. It was a fun morning with those two. Geoff joined us for lunch and than we toured the wedding venue. I am so excited about their wedding. They are really doing a nice job planning and have lots of special details planned.
Stopped by Lowe’s on the way home to get a new water filter for my refrigerator. When I tried to fill my water mug with water this morning the water was running very slowly. Put in the new filter when I got home and am not getting any water out of it now. Took out the filter and still don’t get water. Now I have to decide if I want to call someone out to look at it. It may wait until April when I will be home for a longer amount of time. The refrigerator is only a little over a year old. Ugh!
When I got home from KC Jim and I took a two mile walk. After sitting most of the day it felt good to move my body. It was cold but the wind had slowed down and it was bearable. Came in after our walk and fixed dinner.
Before I left for KC this morning I played with the new computer. Figured out a few things but still have more to figure out. I was playing with it tonight and it needed to restart in order to update the updates. I am on a 24 minute remaining delay as it updates.
Anyone really good with Apple computers? I need some help learning how to do some things. Jim knows what he knows with his but I want to do some things he doesn’t know how to do.
Jim played with his slide project today. He got lots of boxes sorted and dated which is his first step in getting them transferred to the computer. I’m not sure he is going to dispose of the slides once he gets them transferred but not sure I understand his master plan. Guess I don’t have to. He has been taking many trips down memory lane as he reviews the slides. Fun for him to do!
Monday I am going into Kari’s to try on some dresses. Not sure they will have anything I want but decided to see what they have. I looked briefly at David’s Bridal today but didn’t see anything even close to what I think I want.
The papers for my new car came in so will go to the court house in Cottonwood Falls on Tuesday to get my car tags taken care of. Trusting they will take the temporary insurance card as I haven’t received the insurance bill and the annual insurance card yet.
We have a down day tomorrow with nothing on our calendar. It is Tagen’s birthday so hoping we will get to see him. Can’t believe my little buddy that is taller than I am is turning 14 tomorrow. How can that be?
We return to Oklahoma Tuesday afternoon. The drive back and forth is getting a bit old for me but have lots more trips in my future. It is only a three-hour drive and the scenery is beautiful so it really isn’t too bad. Just a bit unsettling to me to split my life into two different states and places.
Grateful for a fun day with Nicole in KC today, grateful for tears that release what ever it was I was holding on to and no longer needed, and grateful for a nice walk this evening.
