This has been a cranky day for me. Not sure why I have been cranky all day but I have been. Maybe it was the effect of the full moon yesterday. Little things bothered me all day long. I am glad this day is about over.
Didn’t get much done today. Did some practice tax returns but didn’t do them correctly as my answers were different than the correct answers. I have class next week and am hopeful they will cover the practice returns and teach me what I did wrong. Most of the problems are returns that I won’t see doing the real thing.
We were invited to the home of a long time friend of Jim’s for dinner. I had a nice time. The couple both teach English at OSU and have traveled the world and were interesting people to talk to. She fixed white chicken chili for dinner. I took strawberry cheesecake for dessert. It’s nice to meet new people in town.
Tomorrow morning we will go to church in the morning. Not sure what we will do in the afternoon. Hopefully it is to be warmer and we can get out and walk again. Jim tried to get me out today but it was too cold. We got about an inch of snow overnight. It did warm up to the upper 30’s today but that is too cold for me.
Monday my tax classes start. They run all day Monday through Wednesday. Trusting they will be productive. I’m glad I got the tests done so I won’t have to worry about passing them. I do need to continue to work problems and learn what I have been doing wrong.
Most of the tax volunteers are male in Stillwater. I don’t remember having any male volunteers in Emporia. Not sure why the difference here. Trusting they will be as fun to work with as the women were in Emporia.
Grateful this day is almost over, grateful to have had a nice dinner with two new friends, and grateful tomorrow is a new day and my crankiness will be a thing of the past.
