Got the lower half of the kitchen walls painted today. Still need to do some touch up and then push the appliances back into place. I had painted the top of the molding the same color as the lower part and don’t like that so will have to repaint it the wood work color.
Tomorrow I want to do the final touch up on the outside of the kitchen cabinets and start painting the upper walls. Jim doesn’t like a roller so will have to brush paint it. He needs to do some repair on some cracks on part of the wall before I can paint part of it.
Jim worked on installing the frames to the storm windows on the three windows in the master bedroom. He got the frames up but didn’t get the storm windows put in them yet. It is to rain tomorrow so may not get them done tomorrow.
I made Shepherds Pie for dinner. It was good! I tried not to eat too much of the potatoes on top as white potatoes are not good for me. They are Jim’s favorite food!
I ordered two more dresses today. If they fit I will have a nice collection of dresses to wear to church. Also ordered another pair of heels. Found an orthopedic type that may be more comfortable than others. I haven’t worn anything beside New Balance tennis shoes for over a year. Do they even make hose any more? Not sure I like wearing heels without hose but it has been so long since I’ve worn any I don’t know what to wear with them.
It will be good to get the kitchen put back together again. We get it put together and tear it apart again. One more day of disorder and hoping we can put things back together and they will stay in order. Neither one of us like chaos and clutter.
We are watching Hidden Figures. It is a movie I actually saw in the movie theater. I enjoyed it and Jim is enjoying seeing it for the first time tonight. It is a good movie and one everyone should see.
Did five loads of laundry today. Put fresh sheets on the bed. Need to do some cleaning but that may have to wait until Monday night. I want to get the painting done first.
The moon will be full tomorrow night. It was beautiful this evening. I can see the moon out of the east bedroom windows once it is up a bit. It will be nice to get back to the prairie where I can see it rise and the the sun rise and set. I feel a bit claustrophobic in town without my views.
Grateful to have gotten some more painting done today, grateful for on-line ordering, and grateful for movies like Hidden Figures that educate me about how life is different for those of other races.
