I have had a Benadryl hangover all day. I only took one tablet 30 minutes before I did my shots last night. Had trouble sleeping last night. I felt like I wanted to crawl out of my skin. Finally took another hot bath around 5:00 this morning and was able to sleep for two hours after that. It was a long night.
I took a nap this afternoon. I got a phone call which woke me up. I’m feeling a bit nauseated now which I have done the other two times I took the shots. It will pass by tomorrow and I will be fine then. The injection sites are a bit raised and itchy today but not too bad yet.
I was on the hot line for a bit last night. Had a fun call for a change with a mature woman who was trying to decide what to do with a on-again off-again lover. I really enjoyed our convo. It was a nice change from the teen age cutters and all the suicidal people I have been handling lately. I was interrupted towards the end of the call by the supervisor reminding me to risk access the caller. Only problem is I had done that at the very beginning of the call. When I told her that she said “Oh, I must have missed that”. She never did apologize. Needless to say, she isn’t my favorite supervisor to work with.
I have ham and corn chowder cooking in the crock pot for dinner tonight. It sure smells good. I hope I am feeling better later and can eat some. Right now I don’t think I can. I may be back to chicken noodle soup for dinner. I haven’t had any lunch yet but not feeling like eating anything right now.
I haven’t managed to get much done again today. Jim did the chicken chores for me this morning. Wind chill was -11 when he walked down there to gather eggs. They gave us 20 eggs today. Jim hasn’t gone down yet to give them water and fill the feed and check for more eggs. I had one frozen, cracked egg this morning. I have it sitting on the counter thawing so I can feed it to the dogs.
Jim found another bag of Snickerdoodles in the freezer so I didn’t need to bake cookies today. Hopefully tomorrow I will be feeling better tomorrow and will bake some them.
The forecast is now calling for -13 Tuesday night. Dang that is cold! The good news it is too warm up Thursday and get above freezing temperatures and keeps going higher from there. I so look forward to the higher temperatures and spring coming. We are almost halfway through February and Spring will be here soon.
The new surge protecter did not fix our printer issue. We still have to manually reconnect it often as well as reconnect our computers. It is so frustrating. Not sure what to do to fix it. The internet company says it is a power issue in the house. They didn’t come check the router which is what I think the problem is. I will call them again next week and see if they will consider loaning me a new router to see if that fixes the problem.
I have ten repeats done on the blanket I am making and it isn’t long enough yet so will add probably two more. Getting close to the end though. I have a recipient in mind and will need to have it finished by March. I should make that date with no problems. This time I have plenty of yarn.
Monday I need to call and order the next round of shots. I changed insurance companies so hoping the new insurance will continue to cover them.
No plans for Valentine’s Day tomorrow. We haven’t started eating out yet so I will cook something for dinner. I may bake Jim a lemon cake as that is one of his favorites. Not sure what I will fix for dinner.
Monday I deliver eggs unless the roads are not safe. Tuesday is trash day and Friday we get our second vaccines. It will be a normal week of staying home and not doing much around here.
Grateful Jim did the chicken chores this morning, grateful for a fun texter on the hot line, and grateful for another quiet week ahead.
Have chicken soup ready for a couple of days after shot 2. My problems didn’t start until 24 hrs after it and lasted for another 24.
