I went to Emporia this morning with Michelle to help her with something. We didn’t stay in town too long and came back to our quiet prairie.
I fixed the kiddos lunch as I will be gone tonight for dinner. Ellexia wanted Kraft macaroni and cheese and a ham sandwich. Tagen just had macaroni and cheese.
Tonight Kathy and I are going to Union Social to help a friend celebrate her birthday. It will be fun to spend an evening with some good friends.
It has been a quiet afternoon on the prairie. I haven’t gotten much done so I guess I will call this a do-nothing day. No use starting something now since I will be out this evening.
No plans for tomorrow unless we go get some things from the house in town.
We missed out on the rain again. It went south and east of us. We got just a bit but barely enough to wash the cobwebs out of the rain gauge.
Monday I have my annual physical. I am babysitting Cody Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so it will be a busy week.
I also need to start cleaning house and getting it ready for the family reunion on the 19th. The house is really dirty so it will be good to get it cleaned up. I love a clean house but don’t find the motivation to keep it clean all the time.
Feeling a bit unsettled this afternoon. Not sure what is behind that. I feel like there is something important I am to do and I can’t think what it is.
Tagen brought up 19 eggs today. The heat doesn’t seem to be bothering the girls too much. Still waiting for the day we get 24 eggs in one day.
Grateful for a quiet afternoon at home, grateful to be having dinner with friends tonight, and grateful for an almost full egg basket.
