No more episodes of Atrial Flutter during the night! Yeah! Got two sleeps in. One from 9:00 to midnight and another with the help of sleeping pills from 2:00 to 7:30. Feel much better today and well rested.
Snow flurries have arrived to the prairie. This is the middle of April! I am so confused as to the date as the weather doesn’t give me good clues anymore. 85 earlier this week and now snow.
I need a few groceries but am going to wait to go until tomorrow. Need to tucker in today to regroup and recover from yesterday. Kathy gets to stay home today too and not go open Pioneer Bluffs as they decided no one will want to come visit today. Good day to stay home and allow myself to be filled with the grace of empty space.
Have the fireplace on again today. May run out of propane yet! Someday soon it will warm up and stay warm. We may go straight to summer this year and bypass spring. Hard to know what tricks Mother Nature has in store for us this year.
Did some research on Atrial Flutter and found a connection with it and the thyroid. Treatment consists of medication and or an ablation to fix the electrical system in the heart. Will be interesting to see what the Cardiologist recommends. I would prefer a permanent fix rather than taking medication. When the hospital portal releases the results of the blood tests I had while I was in ER I am going to send the results to my Endocrinologist to see if she wants to adjust my thyroid medication.
So hard to know which doctor to ask what to. Trusting my primary doctor will be the overseer and help me sort out the different causes and effects the other doctors recommend. Sometimes I wish my body had read the rule book before – I seem to present with unusual situations.
Feeling a bit restless today for the first time in a long time. Probably a reaction to yesterday. Will work on getting myself grounded and centered today. Resisting the urge to find something to do as a distraction. I need to sit with all that is happening and allow it to be what it is.
Grateful for a good night’s sleep, grateful for the grace of empty space, and grateful I have a warm house to be in out of the snow, wind and cold.
