My Marine and his wife got home last night.  It was good to see them – I had missed having them around.

Went to KC this morning to help Nicole with her project.  We ran a lot of errands and finished up part of her project.  I couldn’t help her finish the rest as I didn’t know where stuff went.  I don’t envy her the job in front of her but they will get it done.

On the drive home I had to pull over and snap a picture of a partial sundog.  There was one on both sides of the setting sun but I only captured the one on the left.  I don’t see them very often so had to stop and take a picture.

Had a bit of stop and go traffic coming out of KC but luckily it cleared out pretty quickly and I made good time coming home.  City energy wears me out.  It is always good to get back to my quiet little corner on the prairie.

Not much on my calendar for the next three days other than the normal Airbnb hosting duties.  I hope tomorrow is as nice as today was so I can go for a long walk.  I love this time of the year and want to take advantage and get outside and enjoy it.  The trees are turning in KC and some were beautiful.  I don’t have many trees around me so I really notice them when I go to town.

I have a quiet mind tonight – or maybe it is just tired.  I am enjoying listening to the night sounds tonight.  The moon is almost full and is shining brightly on the prairie tonight.  All is well on my corner of the world.

Grateful to spend a day with my daughter, grateful to get to see a partial sundog tonight on the drive home, and grateful for a safe trip to and from KC today.
