Home again!  I left this morning at 8:15 for KC and got home this evening a little after 8:00.  It was a long day but a fun one.

I started the day in KC at Costco.  I hadn’t been for a bit so had a long list of things to get.  Then I went to Hy-Vee and got some diced beets and a few other things.

Met a dear friend for lunch and had a nice, long conversation.  Our third partner in crime couldn’t make it today and she was missed.

After lunch I went to see my trust attorney and signed a bunch of papers updating my will and trust.  Met another friend for coffee when I was done at the attorney’s office.  Had another wonderful conversation with her.

Ended my day in KC by having dinner with Nicole and Geoff.  We had a nice visit.  Drove home facing the sunset the whole way home.  Very little traffic and a smooth ride home.

Got the car unloaded and everything put away.  I think it may be time for a bath and bed.  I didn’t sleep much again last night.  I’ll mention that to my doctor when I see him tomorrow morning for my pre op visit.  Last night makes the third night in a row that I have had trouble getting more than three hours of sleep.  I’m tired tonight!

I have a few errands to run in Emporia after my doctor’s appointment in the morning and than I should be able to stay home for a few days.  I need to get started painting the support beam of the deck and deep cleaning my house.

Got surprised by a thunderstorm last night.  My rain gauge is still down so don’t know how much rain we got.  My weather app says we got .8 inches.  The wind blew hard for a bit and then calmed down and there was a steady, gentle rain for quite awhile.  I had some deep cracks in the yard so every drop of rain I got was much appreciated.  I love sleeping when it is raining.

Feeling a bit talked out tonight.  Had four good conversations today which is four more than I normally have during a day!  I enjoyed each one though but am not used to being around that many people in one day.  At least traffic was light on the highway and in the city today.

Grateful for my dear friends that I spent time with today, grateful for a competent and kind attorney, and grateful for safe travels today.
