I wrote my blog last night and then when I went to copy it to Facebook the blog post disappeared. It wasn’t in the trash file of my blog so not sure where it went. I was too tired to rewrite it.

The sidewalk/concrete guy showed up yesterday morning at 8:10. He quickly measured everything I want done and presented me with a bid. He doesn’t take checks so needs a cashier’s check or cash. He can start later this week. The bid was high but I have nothing to compare it to as I can’t find anyone else to do the job. I told him I would get the dollars today and meet up with him.

I went to Emporia late afternoon Sunday to drop off the deposit check for the garage doors for the property I am selling. I stopped and saw Jason for a hot minute while I was in town.

I took both dogs on long walks this morning. I sure am enjoying these cooler temperatures and hope they continue for a bit longer.

Today I had to be in Emporia at 11:00 for exercise. Afterwards I went to the Chiropractor and got my weekly adjustment. Then I walked to a bank and got cash for the sidewalk guy. He came and met me downtown.

I tried going to Bobby D’s for lunch. I sat myself as their sign directed and waited for a few minutes to get waited on. Some people came in after me and they got waited on right away. That triggered my sense of fairness so I got up and left.

Went in the post office and attempted to mail a letter. The line was not moving as both clerks had customers that they were having issues of some sort. I left and decided to try again later.

Drove to Olpe and placed the orders for cutting the beef that Jane dropped off last week. I put 3/4 of it in Nicole’s name and only 1/4 in my name. Nicole has friends that she is splitting it with. The guy made it easy and got that task done. I went to the Chicken House to have lunch but they were closed. They are only open Wednesday through Saturday now.

Came back to Emporia and tried the post office again. Had better luck this time and got it mailed. Decided to go home instead of eating in town.

Stopped at Jacalito’s in Strong City and had lunch. It was delicious and served quickly as I was the only customer in the store.

Came home and took a very long nap. I might not sleep tonight but it will be OK. I was drained and needed some good sleep and didn’t want to wait till tonight.

No plans for tomorrow. The sidewalk guy may show up and start doing his thing but that shouldn’t take any of my effort or time.

I have three more days of wearing this heart monitor thingy. I had to charge the battery for the sensor last night so I left it off all night. I have a rash and blisters under the tape where the sensor attaches to my body. I will be very happy when the day comes I can take it off and leave it off for good. It itches all the time.

I don’t think I have much I have to do tomorrow. My to-do list is pretty short these days. I always have a bit of cleaning to do if the mood hits.

I have been slacking on doing my home exercises lately so need to get back into the swing of getting those done. I am almost halfway through this program and need to find the motivation to finish this up strong. In another couple of weeks I will go down to two sessions a week with my trainer and I will have to do one a week at home plus the two short home sessions I am to do.

My builder sent another email trying to get me to come to the office and talk more about the house plans. Guess he doesn’t want to take no for an answer. I am not going to bother to respond. He didn’t respond or take note of my emails so don’t feel like I need to respond to his.

Sitting in a good head space tonight. I will be juggling the sale of the rental property and managing the sidewalk guy this week but those are both projects that have been on my list and am grateful for movement in them. Slowly but surely things are getting removed from my pending list and getting done. It always feels good to get something scratched off that list.

Grateful to get to spend some time with Jason yesterday, grateful the sidewalk guy showed up and that project can move forward, and grateful the meat cutting orders are in.
