Quiet day at home this morning. I had to go to Emporia for exercise at 2:00. I did exercise with my trainer and then ran a bunch of errands.
I stopped at the bank where my business account is and changed my address. They wouldn’t let me do it over the phone.
I went to the Chiropractor for an adjustment. I hadn’t seen him for over two weeks but he didn’t find a lot to adjust.
I stopped by Jason’s office and dropped off his birthday present. I didn’t get to see Jason as he had a client.
I went to Walmart to pick up a prescription and get some groceries. Got what I needed and went to my car. I put a watermelon in my car and then turned and got some more things to load. The watermelon rolled out of the back of my car and hit the ground. Luckily it only split a bit open and didn’t completely split apart.
Came home and put things away. The watermelon was much easier to cut open since it was split. Maybe I will have to try that trick every time I get a watermelon.
It is hot one today. My car thermometer said it was 103 on my way home from Emporia. The road construction guys had quit working by the time I headed home. It was nice for the drive to take the normal 22 minutes instead of the hour that it sometimes can take when I have to wait for the road construction.
I have decided to list one of my rental houses in Emporia. It is a three bedroom, two bath house with a full basement and is located on West 18th Ave. If you know of someone looking, let me know. The realtor is coming over tomorrow with papers for me to sign so I can list it.
I am working hard to simplify my life. The market is high right now and it feels like a good time to sell this property. The renters had moved out the end of June so I am not displacing anyone. If it doesn’t sell within a month, I will rent it out again.
Tomorrow I need to drop my car off at Dieker’s for an oil change. I will walk home and then walk back up when it is done. I don’t have anywhere to go tomorrow so they can take as long as needed to get it done.
My trainer found someone to cover her Wednesday and Friday so I will have to go to town both of those days. I was kinda hoping I could do my exercises at home but I will go to town. I sure will be grateful when I get to cut down to two days a week of going to town come the middle of August when I am halfway through the program.
Nothing much on my calendar for the week except exercise. It is a good time to stay inside out of the heat. We might get a bit of a break in the high temperatures later this week. They will be very welcome.
We brought the dogs in around noon today. They are becoming sissies and no longer tolerate the heat like they did when I lived in the country. There aren’t as many cool places for them to hide in town. When I took them out at midnight last night it was still plenty warm.
I am still able to hold myself above neutral since I have been home from Costa Rica. When I do drop below, I don’t stay there very long. I’m sure sooner or later it will become more of a challenge but I am going to enjoy it as long as it lasts.
Grateful my errands got completed today, grateful there was not a flag man on the way home from Emporia, and grateful the watermelon was salvageable.
