What a busy day!  Glad the house is quiet again and I can relax a bit before bed time.

Went into Emporia this morning.  First stop was Kari’s to try on dresses.  They only had two that I wanted to try on.  I got tickled at the lady that was helping me.  She asked me my size and I told her I had no idea.  She looked at me and guessed a size 12.  Since we are getting married in two months she said I would need to get a dress from stock as they didn’t have time to order one.

I tried on a size 12 dress and it was way too big.  I’m not sure they could have altered it enough to fit.  I didn’t like the dress anyways after I put it on.  The second dress was a size 6 and it fit but it wasn’t what I was looking for.  They didn’t have anything else I liked.

While we were there Jim tried on wedding rings and got sized and asked some questions so he would know what he was looking for.  He didn’t find anything there that he was interested in.

After the dress shop we stopped at Staples to drop off an empty ink cartridge to be returned.  Went to the bank and got some cash for my housesitter.  Stopped at Bluestem to get dog food and went to the Vet’s to get flea and tic medication and Heart Guard.  Our last stop was at the grocery store.

After we got home and had lunch we took a two mile walk.  It was 28 out today but with the wind chill it felt much colder.  It was good to get out and stretch my legs but it took me a while to thaw out when we got back to the house.

I went dress shopping on-line when we got back from our walk.  Found a new to me place and ordered two dresses.  They can be returned within 30 days of receipt and I will get all my money back so figured I can’t go wrong trying.  Trusting one or the other will work.  Neither one was very expensive.  If they don’t work I’ll have to go to KC or Oklahoma City and go shopping.

Jim got on-line too and found a wedding ring he liked and got that ordered.  He has been working on the guest list for the wedding.  I may have to order some more invitations so have been encouraging him to get the list completed so I have time to get more in if needed.

Tim Ellexia, Jason and Jason’s girlfriend and kids came out for dinner.  We had a nice evening.  I got rid of all the leftovers which was nice.  I fixed meat loaf, scalloped potatoes, green bean casserole and beer bread muffins.  I had gotten a cheesecake at the grocery store and served it with fresh strawberries.  Everyone cleaned their plates so guess it was good.

Tomorrow I will go to the court house in the morning and get the tags for the new car.  I also have a load of recycling to dump.  We will leave for Stillwater sometime in the early afternoon.

Our next trip to KS will be mid February.  I made an appointment to pass off my tax planner to my accountant for that weekend.  Ellexia has a gymnastics meet then too so we will get to watch her perform.

It has been nice being on the prairie for a few days.  I’m sorry we have to go back to Stillwater tomorrow.  I would love to stay here for a bit but we have things on our schedule there we need to get back to.  I have a feeling time is going to go fast the next two months as we prepare for the wedding.  I will start doing taxes the first week in February so will be extra busy doing them.

Grateful I found a dress on-line I liked, grateful Jim got his wedding ring ordered, and grateful the kids came out for dinner tonight.
