We had a safe trip back to Stillwater today.  Left Strong City around 1:15 and got to Stillwater at 4:15.  Light traffic and clear roads all the way.

It was nice to be on the prairie for a few days.  It does my soul good to be there.  I need the wide open space to fill my soul and quiet my mind.

We went out for dinner tonight.  We ate at Texas Roadhouse.  The one here in Stillwater does a nice job.  We have eaten there probably ten or twelve times and haven’t had a bad experience yet.  Sometimes the line is too long and we don’t wait but if we can get in the food is always good and the service acceptable if not exceptional.

I had ordered another pair of dress heels and they came in while we were gone.  I like these much better than the first pair I got.  I think they will be comfortable.  They are made by an orthopedic company designed for someone that has bunions.  I won’t wear them often but am glad to have them.

The envelopes for the wedding invitations came in so we can get the rest of the invitations in the mail this week.  I also ordered and received a few more reception invitations and will get those addressed this week too.  Another thing to cross off my to do list.

Tomorrow I do taxes from noon until 4:30.  I go back at 9:00 Wednesday morning and do taxes all day Wednesday.  Thursday evening we are going to a piano concert and Saturday a friend of Jim’s is hosting a brunch for us to celebrate our wedding.  This week will go by quickly.

I called my orthopedic doctor and told them about my right foot.  It feels like I have a silicone gel pack under the big toe.  I can feel it squish when I take a step.  Most of the time it pinches a nerve during the step.  Not sure they can do anything about it but they want to see me.  I go to see the doctor a week from Tuesday.  I’m kinda hoping since I called them and made an appointment it will stop hurting and I can cancel the appointment.

We took a one mile walk when we got to Stillwater today.  It was 66 out and we had to get out for a bit and enjoy the warmth and stretch our legs.  I only did the one mile so I wouldn’t push my sore foot too much.  Not sure it makes it hurt more though when I take a walk like that.  Figure I can’t hurt it as it already hurts – right?

Grateful for a safe trip to Stillwater, grateful I found a comfortable pair of dress heels, and grateful for 66 degree days in February.
