Broke down and took a pain pill last night. I slept really good as a result. My foot has been cranky today so guessing I will take another one before bed tonight. I don’t like taking pain pills during the day time hours as they make me too sleepy.
A lady came by the house today to get a tour. She teaches Donna Eden Energy classes and is looking for a place to teach her classes. Not sure if she will book or not. She was a nice lady and will be fun to work with if she does. I held my ground and told her I would not fix or clean up from meals. That is too much work!
Jim has been cleaning out my garage. It is too hot to sand on the west side deck. He is finding all sorts of treasures in the garage. Not sure I will be able to find anything when he is done but that is OK. It will be nice to have an organized, clean garage.
Sat out last night for several hours looking for Persoid Meteors. Saw one about every 20 minutes or so. They weren’t very big or bright. The moon is almost full and once it came out it dimmed the stars enough that we couldn’t see the meteors. Tonight is to be the peak viewing night so will look again tonight. After I went to bed Jim sat out for another couple of hours. He enjoyed watching the thunderstorms to the west of us put on a lightning show.
Finished the embroidery on a tea towel yesterday and when I took it off the hoop realized there was a flaw in the material and the towel has a small tear in it. Hate when that happens. I’ll have to stamp another towel and redo it. I have one set almost finished.
Got the paperwork from the new internet company today. I have to have my signature notarized so will take care of that tomorrow when I go into town for my dentist appointment.
I’ll be glad when I go back to the surgeon’s office Wednesday for a dressing change. My leg has been itching underneath the dressing. Sure hoping for a walking boot Wednesday but it may be another week before I get one.
Put a plastic coffee table in the bath tub last night when I took my bath to prop my leg on. It worked well! A bath feels so good to relax in every evening. It is a bit tricky to get in and out of the deep tub but I have figured out how to do so. Grateful for the cast cover I found at Walgreen’s. It has worked well to keep my dressing dry when I shower and take a bath.
Feeling a bit cranky today. Everything I do is such an effort. Feels like the healing is going smoothly though and I know this won’t last forever. Sure makes me grateful for my health and mobility under normal circumstances.
Grateful for pain pills and a good night’s sleep, grateful for a clean garage, and grateful for a beautiful night sky.
