Got the yard mowed today. It was a bit hard to mow in places as I couldn’t tell where I had mowed. Some parts were high but it is mighty thin in most places. It sure was a dusty job today. I came in when I was done and took a shower. I had dirt in way too many places it didn’t belong on.

Jim will be home around 7:45. He is only coming home for two days and then will need to go back to Stillwater. The guys will be back on Monday to finish his bathroom and he will need to be there for that. It will be good to have him home for a short while.

Other than mowing I haven’t gotten anything done. I went downstairs to clean and discovered Tony, Jim’s cat, had made a mess. Tony loves to play in his water and he dumped it over and then tracked paw prints all over the basement floor. Decided not to clean downstairs until last minute as what I have already cleaned is dirty already. There were paw prints all over upstairs too as Tony had walked in the shower and then tracked all over the bathroom and bedroom with his wet paws. Damn cat!

No plans for the weekend. Jason and Melissa might be coming out Sunday so we can finalize wedding plans. Other than that we plan on hanging around here and not doing much. May make a feed run Saturday afternoon as we are about out of dog food and sunflower seeds for the girls. If we don’t make it to town I can get them Tuesday when I go to town for my haircut.

Once the kids decide what they want for their wedding day meals I will need to make a list of things to get ordered or made. That will be fun. Once I have the number of people to expect I can start planning on where to put tables, etc.

Monday I take my car in to have the oil changed and the tires rotated. Tuesday I have a hair cut. Not sure what else is on the calendar for next week but it looks like another quiet week. Painting and cleaning will fill the days that I need something to do. I’m getting good at doing nothing most days though.

Both grandkids are back to school. Ellexia got to go back Wednesday and Tagen went back today. It must feel good to them to return to normal schedules. Trusting they both can finish out this year without more absences. I haven’t heard how many Covid cases the schools currently have.

Grateful the yard is mowed, grateful Jim is on his way home, and grateful Ellexia has healed and recovered from her bout with Covid.
