Bus ride day. Had to have our luggage outside the door by 7:30 this morning. We ate breakfast and then checked out. Boarded the bus before 8:15 and headed for Dunedin.
We made several stops this morning. Stopped at a winery for a wine tasting. Nicole enjoyed double tasting as she drank mine. Stopped for a little shopping somewhere. That stop had toilets that played music and had a time limit of ten minutes before the doors opened automatically. I was able to finish before the alarm sounded a warning!
Had a delightful lunch at Clyde. I had steak served with roasted veggies. Nicole enjoyed her dessert and mine. She also enjoyed my glass of wine that came with lunch.
Received several messages that had pictures of the snow the prairie was receiving back home today. The mountains here got fresh snow cover overnight and it has been unseasonably cold here today. I’ll be glad when we go to Australia Sunday as it is in the 70’s there. I’ve been cold here all day. We had rain again this morning but it is partly sunny this afternoon.
Made one short potty stop on the afternoon ride. Arrived in Dunedin around 5:00 and got checked into our rooms. Will go out and find dinner soon. I am tired and peopled out tonight. Ready for a bit of down time.
Grateful for a safe bus journey today, grateful for the sights we saw today and grateful to be in a warm hotel room tonight.
