What a day! I’m not sure much of anything has gone according to plan.
Best Buy called me twice this morning to confirm they were coming this afternoon. 30 minutes before they were to be here they called and said they didn’t know Strong City was an hour from Manhattan and they weren’t coming. WTF? I told the driver to have his supervisor call me. The driver called back 30 minutes later and said he would be coming tomorrow. I told him I needed to talk to his supervisor. The supervisor finally called. I expressed my disappointment in their service. They are sending me a gift of some sort to make up for the miscommunication. What really upset me the most was the driver was full of excuses. If he had said he screwed up and we need to reschedule I would have let it drop. He didn’t. It felt like he was trying to blame me for living where I live. Any bets if they show up tomorrow?
The Dish TV guy has been here since a little after 1:00. He said it would take two hours and he is going on four hours and not done yet.
The Dish guy had the door to the furnace room open as that is where cable runs into the house. We heard the booster pump cycling on and off every 15 seconds. Jim checked it out and it was displaying a warning light that there is a leak in the system. We called the plumber and after going back and forth for four phone calls the plumber decided to come out. I have a leak somewhere but we can’t find it. The water meter is running slowly constantly. We are to keep an eye on ceilings and floors and see if the leak makes itself known. I am to call the plumber Monday and report and he will come up with Plan B at that time.
The company that fixed my screen doors sent me my bill which I ordered a check to pay it. Then they sent me three estimates to replace my garage doors which they had replaced two years ago. When I called to ask about it the lady told me the guy had told her to send it to me. She was to talk to him and find out what was going on and call me back but hasn’t yet.
Oh my! I must have been on the let’s see what we can throw at her before she cracks list today. And this after a night of pain and little sleep even though I took a pain pill. Tomorrow will be better!
I haven’t gotten my peanut butter balls made today yet but may still try to get them done. It has been snowing off and on today and is cold outside. Good day to stay in and bake cookies.
Grateful Jim was here today to help me through the trials of the day, grateful for my plumber that came out on short notice, and grateful this day is almost over.
