One year ago today Jim and I got married with just five people total in attendance including us. The pandemic had just started and social distancing was just starting. No one wore masks as those hadn’t been recommended yet. What a first year this has been. We still haven’t been able to get all five kids together so they can meet each other. Not sure yet when that may happen. Weird on so many levels yet with all that has gone on in the world this last year it seems “normal” in a different way. Things do change.

This also happens to be my sister Kathy’s 70th birthday. Where does the time go? Sending much love across the miles to her and wishing her a wondrous year of celebrating her 70 years this life time. Trusting someday soon it will be safe to travel again and we will be able to see each other soon.

I woke up late this morning after having a dream that I was up cleaning house. I was disappointed when I discovered it was a dream and I really hadn’t gotten the house clean. I got up, did chores, ate breakfast and then started cleaning – this time for real. Got the whole main level cleaned today. Wow did I find a lot of dirt. It feels so nice to have the main level cleaned.

We rearranged the office and got rid of a lot of clutter in it. Now it looks like a study that I want to be in. I had to unplug the DISH TV cords and after a bit got them all plugged back in correctly. Had one problem with a plug but figured out what it was and our TV works.

The internet went out again today and the yellow lights came on just as they did with the other router. Jim called and the company is sending a tech guy next week. Sure hope they can figure out what is wrong. It wasn’t the router. Wonder if they will cancel my new two-year contract?

I removed the driver for the printer on my computer and reinstalled it hoping that would help fix the printer issue but it didn’t help. I don’t know what else to do to fix it. The printers work if we plug them into the computers but they work very inconsistently when we use wireless. It would be easier if they never worked using wireless but sometimes it works right away and sometimes it searches for hours to find the network and never prints and sometimes it will print three hours after you tell it to. I still haven’t found a tech person to come help me solve that problem. My computer shows the printer is idle but when we go to print the icon shows us the printer is offline. Even when we reconnect the printer to the internet it still shows offline most of the time although sometimes reconnecting it fixes it for a bit. Weird!

I called and have a furnace repair guy coming next Wednesday. The furnace is leaking water and am not sure where the water is coming from.

The dumpster is being picked up next Tuesday. Will try to get the old garage torn down tomorrow and Sunday so it can be put into the dumpster but if not we will have to figure out another way to haul that lumber away.

I cleaned today instead of painted at the new house. Hoping I get to the new house tomorrow to get some painting done. I needed to get this house cleaned today. It had crossed the line of no return and needed put back into shape. When my house is dirty I get cranky.

We are grilling steaks for dinner tonight. I have a baked potato in the oven for Jim and am baking myself a sweet potato. Dinner will come together very quickly when it is time to heat the grill.

I handled six calls on the hot line last night. No high risk callers and most were easy to handle. I did have one new situation for me but seemed to be able to get them to a cool calm by doing a grounding exercise with them.

Spring Equinox is tomorrow – a day of balance between light and dark. It is a good time to plant intentions of what you want to spring forth over these growing days of light. I used to gather with some friends to celebrate the Equinox and Solstice and I miss that ceremony time.

Jim ordered some bird spikes and put them up around the outside lights today. The barn swallows like to nest around the lights and it causes a big mess on the deck for several weeks each spring. We will see if they work and where the birds decide to nest this year.

Grateful for a year of married life with Jim, grateful for my sister and celebrating with her from afar today, and grateful the main level of the house is clean.
