Quiet morning at home. I took the dogs on their individual walks this morning. Kathy had left her phone at home so Sophia and I walked downtown and dropped off her phone.

My substitute trainer canceled on me so I will need to do my exercises at home today. I still had to go to town as I needed to meet a couple and attempt to help them solve a problem with their taxes. Not sure I accomplished much when I worked with them today. We kept running into roadblocks with IRS. I brought home some papers and will write some letters on their behalf and see what happens.

I stopped at the grocery store downtown when I was done instead of going to Walmart. I wasn’t in the mood to face Walmart today. The store had what I needed or a close substitute so I got what I needed and came home.

I turned off Highway 50 on V Rd and went south to avoid the road construction. It looks like they are getting close to being done so am hoping only one more week of that to deal with. It makes a long trip to town when it takes 45 minutes instead of the normal 22.

The realtor that is listing one of my rental houses in town called me and asked some questions. The garage door needs replaced on this property and she told me that the garage door people need a 50% deposit down before they can order the garage door. Wondering why my rental property manager didn’t tell me that a week ago? I am so frustrated with the property manager. If this house sells, I will only have one house with her but I may try to find a different property manager. The one I have is incompetent.

Now I will need to make a trip to Emporia tomorrow to give them a check so the door can get ordered. Dang it anyways. I called the owner of the realty group and complained however I am not hopeful that anything will change.

My Camino friends from CA called me today. It is always a treat to talk to them. They lead a very active life and have been on the road lately with lots or reunions and graduations and family affairs.

Other than a trip to Emporia tomorrow to drop off a check, I don’t have any plans for the weekend. I do need to write some letters on behalf of the couple I saw today and see if I can find them some help. Otherwise, it will be a quiet weekend at home.

I drove my old car to town today. I don’t like driving the new car as it has temporary tags on it. I will get insurance finalized next week and get it tagged and then I will start driving it. Kathy won’t need the extra car until September so I will have two cars to choose from between now and then.

Feeling a bit frustrated with the real estate situation. It helps remind me I am doing the right thing to sell one of the properties. I may list the other property soon too. We shall see how the selling of the first one goes first.

Next week looks quiet for the most part. Nothing besides exercise on my calendar so far. I have a few things that I want to get done so may have time to get those projects started.

My brother called me and gave me a lead on a concrete guy that might be able to replace my sidewalks. I need to call this guy and see if he might be interested in the job. Grateful to have a lead. The other lead I got the guy won’t come to Cottonwood Falls.

I do need to go to the meat locker early next week and place cutting orders for the beef that they are processing. I will try to remember to do that Monday after I do exercise.

I am enjoying the slight break in temperature that is happening. It is so much easier to walk the dogs when it isn’t over 90 out. They behave better when it is cooler for them.

Still able to maintain for the most part above neutral. Dealing with the property manager’s incompetence and the roadblocks with the couple I worked with today was a challenge. I did dip below neutral but was able to bounce right back up again. I will take that as a sign of growth and progress.

Grateful to have been in service today, grateful for the realtor I am dealing with, and grateful for my friendship with my Camino pals.
