Took a 3.2 mile walk around Boomer Lake this morning while it was still warm out. It sprinkled a bit on us but not enough to get us wet.  Had to take my sweater off as it was in the mid 60’s.

Stopped at a diner downtown Stillwater for lunch and than came home.  As soon as we got home I went to the library to meet with the tax coordinator.  She gave me the answers to the two remaining tests I have to take.  As part of the test you have to complete a return and than write down the answers.  While I was entering my return the power to the library went off.  It flickered back on twice but than stayed off.

Came home and Jim had power here.  Took my tests and got that done.  Now I can study the information without the stress of the test.

We have been invited to a friend of Jim’s house for dinner tomorrow night.  The hostess asked me to bring dessert so we ran to the grocery store to get supplies.  The temperature has dropped to the high 30’s and there is a cold rain coming down.  Glad we got our walk in this morning when it was fairly warm.

The PA had told me I couldn’t hurt my foot so took her at her word and went ahead and walked over three miles on it.  They didn’t hurt anymore afterwards than they did when I started.  I haven’t checked to see if they are swollen or not.

Got my tax prep worksheets done for my own taxes.  I’ll have to go home sometime in February after I get all my forms in the mail and pass them off to my accountant.  Feels good to have them done.

I ordered a new pair of tennis shoes today.  I have been wearing the pair I have on now for over a year.  The foot doctor had recommended them and said I would do better not wearing any other type of shoe. They are starting to wear out as I have worn them everyday for over a year.  Hoping the new ones will help my feet feel better.  I ordered the same type that I have been wearing as they fit nicely.

Haven’t done much else today.  We worked long and hard yesterday but not so much today.  Does feel good to have my tax tests done with a passing grade.

We are to get some ice and snow this evening and into tomorrow.  Sounds like the prairie got lots of ice already and more winter stuff is headed their way.  We have had a very mild winter.  Guess we are overdue for a touch of winter weather.  It is to warm back up next week.

Turns out the tax coordinator is a good friend of Jim’s.  They have served on the friends of the library board together for several years.  It is a small world after all!

Grateful my tax tests are completed, grateful I can stay in the rest of the night, and grateful I was able to walk over three miles today.
