I took my car to the dealer where I purchased it today. The Service Manager drove it on the highway with me in the car. It only acted up once on the drive. They checked it out and said it was functionally normally. I’m disappointed in the blind spot detection system as it doesn’t work as well as Jim’s Mazda.
They explained to me how the system works and when it doesn’t work. Not sure I totally agree with their justification as to how it works as it doesn’t work at times they don’t talk about. The guy that checked me in at the service desk said other owners have had the same complaint with this system.
I bought this particular car especially for the blind spot detection system. I am disappointed in it as it doesn’t work as I had hoped it would.
I also had them check out the lane departure system. It turns on and off without my understanding why. It did that when the service manager was driving it. Again they said the system is working as designed and they tried to give me the times it would do what I am complaining about. Again I find it not working under different circumstances but guess I will have to learn to live with it.
We stopped for lunch after our appointment and then went to Home Depot to look for bath tub surrounds. The one Jim needs they don’t stock but can have it delivered in two weeks. Not sure what he is going to do.
When we got home I did his taxes on the practice lab part of my training. I’ll have to do them again on the real program but found out he will get a nice refund. With all the extra remodeling and wedding expenses it will come in handy. He is going to come up to the library Monday and let me do them for real.
Tried on the dress that had come in earlier this week. It fits and will work for Nicole’s wedding. Not sure it is what I was looking for to wear to my wedding but it would work for that too if needed. It is floor length and I decided not to wear a long dress but could change my mind. I’ll see when the others come in – hopefully I will fall in love with one of them. I like this dress but I don’t love it.
We have a free day tomorrow. Seems likes it has been a bit since we had one. Hoping we can sleep in late. Jim has only been getting 5 – 6 hours a night and he likes to get 8 -9. He is getting tired and needs to catch up on some sleep.
I hope to get lots of painting done tomorrow. Jim is going to build cabinet doors. He is out in the shop now starting them. It will be so fun to get them up and painted. The kitchen is being transformed slowly and surely!
My feet have been cranky again today. Sure wish I knew when they will calm down and quit with this. I haven’t over used them and don’t understand why they got cranky. They were very sensitive to touch last night. I have quit taking ibuprofen and maybe I need to start again. I was trying to give my liver a break.
Looking forward to a quiet day at home tomorrow. We haven’t had one for a bit. Sunday we just have church and will have the afternoon at home. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I do taxes. Thursday we go to Strong City. I need to get lots of painting done tomorrow and Sunday as I won’t get back to it before we get back from KS.
The full moon is Sunday. I have felt its effects this week. Been a bit down and cranky. I didn’t fall into the muck pond but feel like my valley closed in on me a bit.
Grateful there is nothing wrong with my car – I just need to get used to it, grateful the dress I ordered fit and will work for Nicole’s wedding, and grateful for a quiet day at home tomorrow.
