We have spent a quiet day in our cabin today. I went down to the laundry and folded towels while my own laundry was washing and drying. As usual they were most appreciative of my service.

I laid down and took a short nap this afternoon. I didn’t sleep well again last night and didn’t sleep much this afternoon. Not sure why my sleeping is bad again.

This afternoon Jim went with me to fold more towels. He sorted the towels and carried the ones I folded to a different table. That made the process go much quicker for folding. We folded six or seven bags full. We had to stop as the table we put them on was overflowing. A lady had come and filled a big cart full of them but we folded a bunch more and filled the table.

Jim isn’t sure folding towels would be what he would want to volunteer to do for four weeks or more next summer. Not his thing.

This evening Jim’s sons asked us to get COVID tested before they arrive Sunday morning. We scrambled around and found a place we can go in the morning and get a rapid test. The results come back in 8 – 24 hours. Not sure what we will do if the results aren’t back before they are scheduled to fly out Sunday morning. We will cross our fingers and hope that the results come back tomorrow evening.

We had leftover chili for dinner tonight so another day of not cooking. We need to go to the grocery store tomorrow and pick up some things so we can cook while the sons are here. The place we go for testing is right near the grocery store so we can take care of both things in one trip.

We need to do some consolidating in our cabin tomorrow to prepare for our company. We are using the second bedroom as a storage area as the bedroom we are using is small. May need to stash some things under the bed to find room for all the things.

We realized today that when we leave next Friday we are taking the son’s and one girlfriend to somewhere in Denver. Our car was full coming out with all the stuff we brought with us. We are going to have to do some very creative packing to have room for all our stuff, three extra people, and their luggage. The trip to Denver will take a little over an hour so guess we can be crowded for that long of time.

We leave for home one week from today. Once the sons get here time will go by very quickly.

Rain arrived on the prairie last night and today. I have heard various reports of rainfall totals. Some places close got over 5 inches and some only got 1/2 inch. I hope we got enough to test the new water drainage system and can start the repair of the sheet rock when we get home.

It clouded up here this afternoon but so far no rain. Rain is in the forecast for the next couple of days. It cooled down a bit today and only got to the mid to upper 70’s today. For some reason the high 70’s feel warmer here than they do at home.

Grateful to have been in service again today, grateful for a quiet day in our cabin, and grateful we found a testing site for tomorrow.
