Went to Emporia early afternoon to pick up a prescription and my grocery order. Had to stop at a different grocery store to get two things Walmart was out of. Picked up my order and prescription and came home.

Man, is it hot outside today. There are some pop up storms all around me but nothing over me yet. Getting out of my car sucked my energy right out of me. Grateful I can stay inside with the A/C on.

Tagen brought up 22 eggs today – a new record. He gave the girls a watermelon to help keep them hydrated from this high heat. So far I haven’t lost any of them to the heat.

It has been nice today to just have Tagen here. I woke up during the night and was up for an hour between 3:00 and 4:00. I took some Tylenol and was able to go back to sleep and I slept in this morning. Michelle’s dog woke me up at 8:00 as it wanted to go outside. I was able to go back to bed and sleep a bit longer.

Yesterday I got the floor of the walk-in kitchen pantry cleaned. I pulled everything out and then hand scrubbed the floor. I found lots of dirt and dust bunnies. Feels good to have that floor clean. When I get done blogging I am going to deep clean the laundry room. The cat has stayed outside much more then coming in so it isn’t as dirty as it sometimes is but it definitely needs a good deep clean.

Tagen is going to town tonight so won’t be here for dinner. I have gotten off easy cooking this week.

Kathy and I did a little project for Pioneer Bluffs last night. We put stamps on over 2,100 postcards. I took the postcards to the post office in Cottonwood Falls this morning so they are done. While I was in town, I delivered six dozen eggs. I still have three dozen plus what we got today if anyone wants/needs fresh farm eggs.

No plans for the weekend although I think Sunday we will moving a lot of Michelle’s things. It needs to get done and we are running out of time to do it. Hopefully we can get the bulk of it done this weekend.

Next week I have my grandson Cody again on Tuesday. Tagen starts school Monday. Ellexia will be here all week so she can help me with Cody this time. She starts school late next week. It will give me a break when both of them are in school all day.

I will spend most of the week next week cleaning house. I need to decide what desserts I am going to make for the family gathering the 19th. If I decide on cookies, I will need to do a batch a day all week. I’ll see what my mood is and what I get done. I wish I could clean sooner rather than later but it is so dusty right now that I can’t clean too much ahead.

I will be glad when the family gathering is over as then I can turn my time and effort to preparing for my big trip in September. I still need to do some research and figure out what I want to go see in each of the towns I will be staying in. I will be in London for three nights, Bath for one night, Liverpool for two nights, Edinburgh for two nights, Leeds for one night, back to London for one night then on to Dublin for one night, Galway for two nights, Killarney for two nights, Waterford for one night and then back to Dublin for 3 nights. Wow! I will get good at packing and unpacking my suitcase. I’m grateful I have several places I get to stay more than one night so I can get laundry done.

I am back up the ladder of consciousness today. It does feel good to be a rung or two above neutral. Things seem to be leveling out and calming down around here as I have gotten used to my temporary normal around here. I am finding my rhythm again.

Grateful for 22 eggs from the girls today, grateful the groceries are put away and things restocked for another week, and grateful I was able to get some good sleep last night.
